High Five Events is delighted to have Third Base and Ben Phillips, Real Estate Advisor for Engel and Volkers Austin, as Official Sponsors for The Rookie Triathlon. Set to take place on May 1st, The Rookie Triathlon introduces the rapidly growing sport to interested athletes and encourages veterans to work on bettering their times and approach.

The Rookie Triathlon has enjoyed having Ben Phillips, Real Estate Advisor for Engel and Volkers Austin, as an Official Sponsor for many years. Not only is Phillips a triathlete himself, but his quest for the best customer service aligns perfectly with High Five Events. Phillips truly cares about Austin and its citizens and it shows in his community support.

Austin sports-themed restaurant Third Base has been an Official Sponsor for three years. Third Base has three locations around the Austin area that feature numerous big screen TVs for watching the big game, great food, and relaxing patios. Third Base is well-known for their community support and you will see them at numerous events in their mobile tailgater, Third Bus.

“By hosting the volunteer parties we get the chance to reward those who work hard for the love of the sport,” said Brendan Puthoff, co-owner of Third Base. “High Five Events and Third Base are local companies who love catering to Austinites who enjoy active lifestyles. The Rookie Triathlon takes place at Walter E. Long Metropolitan Park and consists of a 300m swim in Decker Lake, an 11.2 mile bike ride in a protected lane around the lake, and a two mile run through the park. Registration is still open and volunteers positions are still available.
