23 Aug Free Splash-n-Dash on Labor Day
***UPDATE as of 8/29 – Due to the devastation affecting our fellow Texans, the relief efforts taking place in Austin, and the possibility of high levels of bacteria in Lady Bird Lake from recent rains, the Splash-n-Dash has been canceled. Everyone who has registered will receive an email and those of you who purchased 1-day USAT licenses will be full refunded. We thank you for your understanding and encourage you to donate to/volunteer for a worthy charity should you feel inclined.
High Five Events, one of the largest privately owned event production companies in the United States, introduces a free Summer Splash-n-Dash in downtown Austin, Texas. The event is scheduled for Monday, September 4, 2017, and will begin at 7:30 a.m. The event will take place at Vic Mathias Auditorium Shores and feature a 750m swim and a 3K run.

The Summer Splash-n-Dash swim course is in Lady Bird Lake and swimmers will complete one 750m loop. Lifeguards and safety personnel will be present. The USAT-sanctioned event will utilize a wave start. Swim caps are required and will be provided at check-in, but participants are welcome to bring their own cap. The run course is a 1K loop that athletes will complete three times. Water and nutrition will be available for all participants.
After participants are done splashing and dashing they can hang out in the finish line festival for refreshments and a good time in downtown Austin. Vendors will also be present. All participants will need their annual USAT license number or a one-day license when registering. Even though this event is free, participants must register as they would a paid event.
